Description
Impressive large antique carved wooden American Eagle circa 1860. The eagle measures 19" high x 18" wide x 8" deep. The carving is quite spectacular – each feather is very dimensional not to mention the talons and claws. Ebony oak with a rich and mellow surface patina.
There are slight remnants of gilt about the eyes and on some of the feathers.
