The Bible in English, that is, the old and new testament, after the translation appointed to be read in the Churches.  Five parts in one volume. Small folio, full dark blue morocco, gilt lettered spine, five raised bands, marbled endpapers by C. Murton.  London: Edward Whitchurche, 1549.  General title page in ink facsimile, first six leaves with margins renewed with light loss of some side-notes and shaving of the text in a few places, half of leaf xli in the new testament supplied from another copy, last 16 leaves with portions of margins renewed and supplied in ink facsimile, some headlines and side notes cropped, occasional light soiling, otherwise a very good copy of an extremely rare Bible that is rarely found complete.  Preserved in a full dark red morocco padded box labelled "Cranmer's Bible" on the front.  From the library of B.R. Donaldson, with correspondence dated 1928-1931 relating to its purchase from a London bookseller laid in.
